
Laura Kipnis, the author of the new book " How to Become a Scandal: Adventures in Bad Behavior, "consider these questions in deconstructing our attraction in celebrity scandals.
She says that celebrity scandals touch our deep, personal insecurity — of sex, running, money and power — in a way which leads us to hurry up in judgment when they show that another person, particularly famous person, finishes an aspect of this insecurity.
